GLOBE-GenAI
Global student perspectives on learning with Generative Artificial Intelligence in higher education
My role
Tiffany Petricini is a Core Scientific Member of the Global Learning Observatory on Generative Artificial Intelligence in Education, an international research network built through collaboration among researchers and institutions across countries and cultures.
The global study
2025 – PresentGLOBE-GenAI examines how higher education students use, perceive, and experience Generative AI in diverse educational and cultural contexts. The study looks for global patterns, cross-cultural differences, emerging opportunities, and critical challenges that are shaping the future of higher education.
The research addresses student use of Generative AI for academic activities, perceived effects on learning and creativity, concerns about academic integrity and privacy, information reliability, and the role institutions should play in supporting responsible use.
